MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT: Dale Basin Well Owners Association General Meeting, March 9, 2025 at 1:00 pm at the Wonder Valley Community Center, 80525 1/2 Amboy Road, Wonder Valley, CA
Hello Friends!
I’m happy to invite you to attend the upcoming General Meeting of the Dale Basin Well Owner’s Association, which will be on Sunday, March 9th at 1:00 pm at the Wonder Valley Community Center, 80525 1/2 Amboy Road, Wonder Valley, CA.
(*Don’t forget to ‘Spring Ahead’ by setting your clocks AHEAD one hour on Saturday night!)
In this meeting we will hear about a few goals of the 2025 DBWOA Board, including expanding the Outreach Team, and opportunities for membership to volunteer for little tasks to help support the meetings (such as greeting at the door, mic running during the meeting, passing out agendas, etc.)
We will also hear a proposal to the membership about possibly supporting some community members who wish to form a group to represent the Wonder Valley community, by sharing the costs of space rental and insurance for them to get together and talk about it. The vote will take place in this meeting, and the proposed community group would meet following the August DBWOA General Meeting.
We will also be voting to approve the “Proposed By-Laws,” which have been posted to the website for over a year, and have been mentioned in 2024 General Meetings. Yes, folks, the time has finally come to vote on these and formalize them! The current and proposed by-laws may be found on the “Files & Documents” tab of the website :
A reminder that current membership is required for voting on association business, including the two votes mentioned above. If you haven’t already paid your $10 dues for the year 2025, you can contact our treasurer, Maarten (treasurer@dalebasinwellowners.org) to make arrangements to pay with a credit or debit card via Zelle, or you can bring a check or cash to the meeting and renew your membership as you sign in. And, everyone, please be sure to sign in, so that you may be given your voting card.
And, finally, and most exciting, I’m happy to share that our own Clarence Chambers will be doing a ‘water witching’ demonstration. Water witching, also known as dowsing, is an old technique that was used to find water underground before all the technology was developed. You may be amazed to learn that this method can be surprisingly accurate, even today! Clarence will demonstrate, and then we will have an opportunity to try it out ourselves. This will be informative and fun!
See you there…
