Sponsored by Dale Basin Well Owners Association
When: 10:30 am, Friday April 10, 2026
Where: Wonder Valley Community Center, 80526 Amboy Road, Wonder Valley, CA 92277
Greg Woodside is the Chief of Planning & Watershed Resilience with San Bernardino Valley Municipal Water District, in San Bernardino, California. In recent meetings of the Dale Basin Well Owners Association (DBWOA) here in Wonder Valley, some of our members have had questions about our aquifer(s) which our local expert(s) have not been able to answer.
Greg Woodside has graciously offered to give a public talk at the Wonder Valley Community Center next month, at 10:30 am, Friday, April 10. The talk is open to all of 29 Palms. Greg’s 40 minute presentation will cover the following:
overview of groundwater management in California
example of groundwater management in the San Bernardino Valley
example of groundwater management in Borrego Springs area (desert area)
potential considerations for currently ‘unmanaged’ areas (e.g. Dale Basin/Wonder Valley)
There will be 20 minutes for questions and answers.
Greg also has offered to take groundwater management questions in advance, and will incorporate answers into his talk as time allows. Please email your questions to DBWOA Board President Joe Chaplain at info@dalebasinwellowners.org.
